Deadmau5 Seeya

Deadmau5 – “Seeya” ft. Colleen D’Agostino

I hope I don’t get flack for posting this, especially since the first time we listened to this at the studio we laughed it off as another producer’s attempt at trying to stay relevant but not exactly knowing how… Anyway, this song started popping up in my life and it started growing on me more and more.  Yea, there are some weird identity issues with some production choices, but the song is funky, the singing is cool and satisfying, and it sounds different!  It’s that weird funky tempo that makes your head bounce, and it’s driven by a cool bass line that implies but doesn’t over state and interesting chord progression.  This song is the first (I think) off of Joel’s new album (I actually wrote CD first instead of album then deleted it). It’s dropping June 17th.
